Here’s your reminder that our first face to face Conversation Cafe after many many months over zoom is taking place this Saturday! It will be outdoors so we will be able to maintain suitable social distancing.

Full details here:

Sustainable Carlisle’s first face to face Conversation Cafe in over 18 months will be taking place alongside Carlisle Community Cycle Hub “Super Cycling Saturday” at Hammonds Pond, on 16th October 12 noon.

> How do you feel about the climate crisis?

> What are your hopes and concerns?

> Do you believe world leaders will make a plan that will reduce emissions in time?

> What would you like to see come out of COP26 and how would that affect our community?

> What do you feel is our role as citizens?

Join others from your area to discuss these questions, and any others that are playing on your mind.

We will meet outdoors at Hammonds Pond (Upperby, CA2 4SD) on Saturday 16th October at 12 noon.

Hammonds Pond have a cafe that you can access from the outdoors.

Don’t forget to check out what Carlisle Community Cycle Hub are up to on the day as well, they have lots of brilliant free bike activities and Check&Fix slots. Find out more at: https://www.carlislecyclehub.org/

See you there and please spread the word.

We’re coming back to the farmer’s market!  We are really excited to be able to return back to the farmer’s market (in it’s lovely new location on the Cathedral grounds) with our regular freestall on the first Saturday of every month.

We are looking for volunteers to help out on the stall, as only a few hours of your time will be a step towards a world of less waste as well as an opportunity to meet like minded people and to create engaging discussion with the general public.

Due to remaining covid-19 safe, we are looking to keep too a volunteer rota to ensure the stall doesn’t get over crowded. If you are interested in getting involved please contact katie@sustainablecarlisle.org with what time you are available.
